Responsibilities:

  • Perform a wide range of cooking techniques, including prepping, roasting, broiling, braising, sautéing, and grilling
  • Prepare meals according to quality standards for freshness, taste, appearance, and consistency
  • Follow standardized recipes to ensure portion control and product consistency
  • Notify the Chef or Sous Chef immediately of any shortages, discrepancies, or quality concerns with ingredients or products
  • Monitor and assist with the timing and flow of food production to maintain an efficient kitchen operation
  • Support coordination between kitchen stations to prevent delays in the production process
  • Ensure full compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations
  • Adhere strictly to procedures outlined in the Food Safety Management System (FSMS) handbook
  • Report any food safety risks or violations to your manager and the hygiene/food safety team
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation at all times

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 years of culinary experience in high-volume, full-service kitchens.
  • Chinese (Cantonese, Sichuan, or regional specialties)
  • Skilled in Asian culinary fundamentals, such as wok cookery, stock and broth preparation, steaming, dumpling production, stir-fry methods, rice and noodle mastery, and traditional seasoning profiles.
  • Knowledge of current catering and global culinary trends.
  • Ability to work long hours on foot and in environments with varying temperatures.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays) based on business needs.
