Certified Sterile Processing Technician, Part Time

Resurgens Fayette Surgery Center is a single-specialty orthopedic surgery practice with some of the best clinical outcomes in the metro-Atlanta area.

We are seeking a STERILE PROCESSING TECHNICIAN to join our staff.

Resurgens Fayette is a single-specialty orthopedic surgery practice.

These important job-specific job duties for these technicians may include:

  • Cleaning and sterilizing equipment
  • Packaging and/or preparing equipment for use
  • Operating medical equipment as needed
  • Inspecting medical equipment for functionality and sterilization
  • Maintaining inventory of medical equipment
  • Ensuring medical procedure rooms are sterile
  • Organizing medical equipment
  • Transporting prepared equipment
  • Recording test results for sterilization
  • Using and maintaining autoclaves for sterilization

Required Skills
  • Must be a  Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 2-3 years experience as Instrument Room Technician.
  • Experience with all types of sterilizers.
  • Knows operating room instrumentation.
  • Organized in setting up operating room instrument tray.
  • Understands operation of steam/ gravity sterilizer.
  • Understands Sterrad sterilizers.
  • Ability to prepare reports and keep records.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required.
  • 1 year of central sterile processing in an acute setting
  • IAHCSMM certification or similar national certification
