Job description

Sterile Processing Tech (SPT โ€“ Endoscopy)

Location: Dallas, TX
Shift: 5x8 Evenings | Mondayโ€“Friday | 2:00 PM โ€“ 10:30 PM


Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) with Endoscopy-specific equipment experience to support the Endoscopy department at a leading academic medical center. Endo certification (CBSPD C.F.E.R. or HSPA CER) is a strict requirement. Candidates who do not meet certification and experience qualifications will be auto-rejected.


Mandatory Requirements

Candidates must meet ONE of the following:

โœ” CBSPD C.F.E.R. (Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor)
โœ” Minimum 2 years of Sterile Processing Tech experience

OR

โœ” HSPA CER (Certified Endoscope Reprocessor)
โœ” Minimum 3+ years of SPT experience
โœ” At least 3 months of frequent, high-volume Endo Processing experience within the last 12 months


Key Responsibilities
  • Perform decontamination, cleaning, sterilization, and high-level disinfection of endoscopic equipment

  • Reprocess a variety of scopes including: bronchoscopes, colonoscopes, EGD scopes, EBUS, EUS, ERCP, cystoscopes, TEE probes, uteroscopes, fiber optics, and more

  • Assemble trays/sets and ensure strict adherence to infection control and sterilization standards

  • Follow safety protocols and documentation requirements

  • Support 40+ daily procedures in a high-volume environment

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a busy academic hospital

  • Flexible Endoscope Reprocessing

  • High-Level Disinfection (HLD)

  • Decontamination & disinfection workflows

  • Scope/Probe reprocessing

  • Sets & trays assembly
