Job description

Position Purpose:

As a Technical Inside Sales Representative for Steeltech, you will play a crucial role in our company's growth and customer satisfaction by establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers. You will work closely with our direct outside sales team to support our comprehensive range of heat and corrosion-resistant products for various industries, including Heat Treat, Aerospace, Automotive, Steel Mills, and Cement and Lime.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Customer Relationship Management: Establish and nurture relationships with new and current customers, representing Steeltech's brand in a positive, honest, and professional manner.

2. Lead Generation and Follow-up: Make outbound calls to potential customers, follow up on leads, answer questions, and send additional information as requested.

3. Locate customers that need our service by cold calling, emailing and following up on potential leads

4. Technical Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of Steeltech's products to communicate effectively with customers, determine their needs, and recommend appropriate solutions.

5. Sales Process Facilitation: Guide customers through the entire sales process, from initial contact to account set-up, including providing pricing and lead times.

6. Quoting and Account Management: Assist in generating quotes and enhancing relationships with existing customers.

7. Market Intelligence: Gather and report customer feedback, industry trends, and competitor information to support strategic decision-making.

8. Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and prepare regular reports on sales performance and forecasts.

9. Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including engineering, production, and outside sales, to ensure customer needs are met efficiently.

10. Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned by management.


Qualifications:

  • Understanding and ability to form relationships with proper personnel and decision-makers to attain sales
  • Understand and read technical drawings to discuss with the customer and convey the requirements to the plant.
  • Experience with Odyssey ERP Software a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication, verbal and written skills
  • Very driven to meet personal and company goals and expectations
  • Must be able to work independently
  • 3 years of customer service (Required)
