Job description

Slitter Operator (Heavy Gauge / Precision Metals) – Wixom, MI
First Shift/Full-Time – 5:45 a.m. – 2:45 p.m.
The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Slitter Operator to join our award-winning service center in Wixom. This is a high-precision role that requires a "pro" mindset. You won’t just be pushing buttons; you’ll be responsible for the full setup and operation of our Slitting and Cut-to-Length lines. If you take pride in a clean cut, a perfect setup, and a safe floor, you’ll fit right in.
The Pay & Perks:
  • Starting Pay: $22.00–$25.00/hr (based on your specific slitting experience)
  • The Path: This is a long-term career seat. Once you’ve cleared the initial period through our staffing partner and join us directly, you’ll have access to our full benefits package including health/dental/vision, 401K, bonus, and education reimbursement for career growth.

What we are looking for:
We are a "drug-free" workplace looking for a reliable professional. We need someone with a stable work history, as we aren't looking for a "job jumper," but a skilled operator who wants a long-term home.
Requirements:
  • Specific Experience: You must have at least 2 years of experience specifically operating and setting up Metals Slitting and Cut-to-Length lines. (Please note: Slitting experience is a firm requirement for this role).
  • Equipment Mastery: 2+ years of experience with Forklifts and Overhead Cranes.
  • Technical Skills: You should be comfortable with preventative maintenance, working with knives/tooling, and navigating computer-based instructions.
  • The Math: Must be sharp with industrial math, including fractions and decimals.
  • Physicality: You’ll be on your feet and active, with the ability to lift up to 60 pounds when needed.
  • Reliability: You must have your own reliable transportation and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
