Job description

AVI Foodsystems is looking for an energetic and optimistic team member to fill the role of Grill Cook at Columbus State Community College. This is a full-time position.

Providing comprehensive food services with a focus on the highest quality and freshest ingredients, impeccable service and total value is the reputation we have earned and live up to everyday.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Deep fry, grill, and sauté meats, fish, vegetables and other foods
  • Observe and test foods being cooked by tasting, smelling and piercing
  • Perform food preparation work for cooking, including seasoning
  • Measure and mix ingredients according to recipe
  • Maintain proper grill cooking temperatures
  • Ensure that all kitchen equipment is clean and professional in appearance at all times
  • Manage food inventory
  • Maintain a safe work environment
  • Encourage good customer relations through product promotion

Requirements:
  • Culinary experience preferred
  • Exceptional food presentations skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills
