Position Summary

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that the department's productivity and quality goals are met. As a leader in integrity and quality, the Manufacturing Associate I is part of a cohesive team manufacturing high-quality products. This diverse and exciting role cross trains in different value streams based on the changing needs of the business. You will interact fluidly with peers, supervisors and cross-functionally work with Quality Control, Logistics, and Process Engineers. At Parker, you will cultivate a strong culture by participating in High Performance Teams and operating in a LEAN environment. In this position, your schedule will be from 10:15PM-6:30AM. 

Responsibilities

  • Verify needed raw materials, tools, and equipment to perform basic machine operations and/ or assembly work. Use calipers, verniers and other measuring devices to perform and evaluate work.
  • Perform assistance on multiple machine setups and basic operations to prepare, process, and inspect parts for optimal quality and output.Perform routine/ basic machine maintenance and cleaning.    
  • Complete daily documentation and reporting metrics accurately and on time as outlined.  
  • Package products and materials appropriately for other areas to bring workflow to completion.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and communicate between departments and notify leaders and engineers of issues.
  • Work cross functionally in designated areas to support business needs such as extrusion, molding, trimming, and splicing.
  • Support company LEAN and High-Performance team objectives and initiatives to promote company culture through by assisting with training/ shadowing and filling out team improvement board information and/ or Starpoint.
  • Sustain Safety and 5S program, use appropriate PPE for designated area, which can include painting/ clean room environments. 

Qualifications

Qualifications: 

  • U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident Status required.
  • GED or High School Diploma required.
  • 0-2 years of manufacturing experience required.
  • Good manual dexterity and hand to eye coordination a plus.
  • Ability to read work orders and blueprints a plus.
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team to meet time sensitive deadlines.
  • Ability to perform basic math, reading, writing such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and use of computers with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand basic English required.
  • Ability to stand for long durations up to 8 hours, and lift and or move up to 40 lbs.
  • Comfortable working daily around hazardous chemicals. 

Conditions of Employment

This position is subject to meeting U.S. export compliance and/or U.S. Government contracting citizenship eligibility requirements.

Pay, Benefits, Work Schedule

Competitive Compensation

  • Pay Range:  19/hr to 31/hr
  • Participation in Annual Incentive Program
