Job Title: Early Head Start (EHS) Program Manager

Organization: Starpoint
Location: Canon City, CO
Position Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Salary Range: $56,485 - $70,000 annually


Position Overview

Make a lasting impact on children, families, and your community. Starpoint is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Early Head Start Program Manager to lead and oversee our Early Head Start program. This leadership role is ideal for a professional passionate about early childhood education, team development, and delivering high-quality, inclusive services.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and daily operational oversight of the Early Head Start program 
  • Supervise, coach, and support a team of early childhood professionals 
  • Ensure full compliance with federal Head Start Performance Standards and Colorado Child Care Licensing requirements  
  • Develop and implement staff training, professional development, and continuous quality improvement plans 
  • Manage program budgets and ensure cost-effective, compliant operations 
  • Serve as liaison with agency leadership, Policy Council, families, and community partners 
  • Build strong community relationships and promote program outreach 
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and family-centered program environment

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field 
  • Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in an early childhood setting 
  • Knowledge of Colorado Child Care Licensing regulations 
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace 
  • Ability to pass CBI/FBI background checks and drug screening 
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed  
Preferred Qualifications
  • Early Childhood Center Director Certification or Level 4 Credential 
  • Experience with Head Start or Early Head Start programs 
  • Familiarity with Head Start Program Performance Standards
