Job description

Stark & Stark is actively recruiting for a Litigation Paralegal to join our Mass Torts Department based in our Hamilton, NJ office. The right candidate will have the extraordinary opportunity to continue their professional development in a challenging, but collegial environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Support large-scale case investigations by gathering and analyzing evidence to establish liability across multiple plaintiffs and defendants.
  • Maintain frequent contact with clients to collect details on injuries, medical treatment and financial losses.
  • Obtain, review, and organize extensive medical and billing records for multiple claimants, ensuring accuracy and completeness for damages analysis.
  • Identify and track applicable health insurance coverage and potential liens for each case.
  • Draft form and individualized demand letters, settlement packages, and other mass tort legal correspondence with strong attention to detail.
  • Prepare cases for settlement, litigation, and trial, including exhibit and visual aid creation.
  • Draft and respond to discovery requests, pleadings, and procedural motions.
  • Conduct legal research and manage case timelines and deadlines.
  • Maintain professional communication with clients, co-counsel, opposing counsel, and court-appointed leadership.
  • Perform accurate, high-volume data entry and status updates in FileVine.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Plaintiff’s Personal Injury, or Mass Torts, with hands-on knowledge of both pre-litigation and litigation case management.
  • Familiarity with legal procedures in State & Federal courts across the country.
  • Paralegal certificate or associate’s degree required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with ability to quicky learn new legal technology.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with strong time-management and follow-through skills.
  • Excellent research, writing, and communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated commitment to client service and professionalism.
