Commercial Drywall Finisher
Full-Time | Commercial Construction
Compensation: Hourly, with final compensation based on skills, experience, and qualifications. (Paid weekly)
Role Summary
Drywall Finishers at Higgins Group, Inc. works within our Commercial Walls and Ceilings department, supporting business, institutional, and large-scale construction projects. This role is responsible for producing smooth, seamless wall and ceiling finishes that are ready for final paint or coatings, while maintaining our standards for quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Core Responsibilities
  • Prepare and finish drywall surfaces to meet client and industry quality standards
  • Identify and correct imperfections including cracks, seams, and surface irregularities
  • Install corner bead and reinforcement materials
  • Prepare surfaces for final paint or coatings
  • Follow OSHA and company safety policies
  • Maintain clean and organized job sites
  • Coordinate with leadership and project teams
  • Communicate progress and material needs
  • Mentor less experienced finishers

Required Qualifications & Conditions of Employment
  • Must provide and maintain personal drywall finishing tools
  • Ability to perform physical job duties
  • Ability to work on ladders, scaffolding, and elevated surfaces
  • Must pass UA/PCP drug and alcohol screening
  • Employment contingent on E-Verify authorization
  • Must comply with safety policies
