Job description

Summary of Role:

  • A Residential Finish Carpenter will complete hard surface flooring, millwork, cabinet, door installations with a meticulous eye for detail. In addition, the Finish Carpenter will complete shower waterproofing and tile installations on floors, walls, and ceilings.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Carpentry skills and experience required. Preferably in high-end residential applications
  • Tile experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, design documents, and appliance specifications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, as well as outstanding problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and be on feet for long periods of time
  • Excellent organization and time-management skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform finish carpentry work accurately and accordingly to plans and specifications
  • Hardwood, Laminate, or LVP flooring installation
  • Hang doors, install door/window casing, and baseboard installation
  • Caulking and paint-prep
  • Shower Waterproofing and tile underlayment installation
  • Ornate tile installations and meticulous grouting
  • Troubleshoot, analyze and repair site issues
  • Observe and comply with all applicable OSHA Safety Regulations
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Framing, siding, and window installation
  • Material handling (skidloader work)
  • Landscaping
  • Grading and concrete prep
  • Duties assigned by Lead Finish Carpenter, Superintendent, or Project Manager

Education and Experience

  • GED or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to operate machinery (skidloader, telehandler, boom lift)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be on feet for long periods of time
  • 2+ years construction related experience

Compensation, Benefits, and Perks:

  • $18-28/hr – DOE. Overtime paid at 1.5x hourly rate beyond 40 hours in each week.
  • Paid Time Off:
    • 1 week PTO in years 0-1
    • 2 weeks PTO in years 2-5
    • 3 weeks PTO in years 6-10
    • 4 weeks PTO in years 10+
