Job description

Floor Coverings International of Northbrook, IL is hiring hard-working, service-minded flooring installers. We work with installation crews who are skilled installers that take pride in their craftsmanship and customer service. We respect the customer and their home, we deliver what we promise, and we clean up.
Requirements:
  • Install luxury vinyl plank/tile (LVP/LVT), laminate, etc
  • Install Floating and glue-down floor systems to manufacturer specifications
  • Perform subfloor prep including leveling, patching, moisture mitigation, and underlayment installation
  • Complete layout, cuts, transitions, and trim work (reducers, T-molds, stair noses, base/shoe) with precision
  • Handle demo and removal of existing flooring as needed
  • Daily and final cleanup of the job site to company standards.
  • Keep tools organized and clean and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Ensure safe, organized, and efficient work practices at all times.
  • Ensure high quality company standards are met every time.
  • Job requires travel throughout the week.

Additionally:
  • You must review and understand the scope of work before arriving on site.
  • Have knowledge of units of measurement and able to complete needed math calculations.
  • Interact with customers in a friendly and polite manner. Work to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction with every aspect of the job.
  • Experience with residential and commercial projects is preferred.

Qualifications:
  • 5 years in professional flooring installation.
  • Valid driver's license and clean, reliable vehicle.
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs and perform physically demanding work.
  • The position requires repetitive crouching, squatting, standing, walking and lifting.
  • Own all the necessary trade tools and equipment for flooring installation.
  • Must have own insurance (general liability, workers comp, and auto) for all jobs
