Job description

Stainless Steel TIG Welder (HVAC Ductwork) - Commercial Construction Project

Cocoa Beach, FL

1st Shift | Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM Start
Project Duration: 6-8 Months


We are currently seeking experienced Stainless Steel TIG Welders for a large commercial hotel construction project in Cocoa Beach, FL. This position will focus on the fabrication, fit-up, and welding of stainless steel HVAC ductwork and sheet metal components. This is an excellent opportunity for highly skilled welders looking for steady work on a long-term project with a reputable team.


Responsibilities

  • Perform precision TIG welding on stainless steel sheet metal and HVAC ductwork systems.
  • Weld, fabricate, and assemble duct sections, transitions, fittings, and related HVAC components according to project specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and shop details.
  • Ensure welds meet quality standards and project requirements.
  • Assist with layout, fit-up, fabrication, and installation support as needed.
  • Inspect completed work for accuracy, appearance, and structural integrity.
  • Follow all jobsite safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
  • Coordinate with supervisors, HVAC mechanics, and other trades to meet project deadlines.


Requirements

  • Proven experience performing TIG welding on stainless steel sheet metal and ductwork.
  • Experience working with commercial HVAC systems and duct fabrication.
  • Current 6G Certification (Required).
  • Current OSHA Certification (Required).
  • Must have own TIG welding rig.
  • Ability to read blueprints, fabrication drawings, and project specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds.
  • Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Must possess the necessary hand tools for the trade.
  • Experience working on commercial construction projects is preferred.


Compensation & Benefits
