Job description

This is a full-time opportunity based in the New York City with a fast growing, well-funded startup building AI native products at scale. The company is focused on transforming complex workflows into intuitive, high impact user experiences using cutting edge AI, modern frontend technologies, and a robust design foundation. You will join a small, high velocity team working across product, engineering, and leadership to define the future of an AI driven platform.

If you’re looking for a role where you can shape the entire design direction of a company from day one, this is it. As the first or senior design hire, you’ll own the full design lifecycle—from zero to one product strategy to polished visual execution—while partnering directly with founders and senior engineers. This is a rare chance to build a design system from scratch, influence product architecture, and ship AI powered workflows that meaningfully impact users’ lives. You’ll thrive here if you’re a high ownership builder who loves rapid iteration, enjoys working closely with customers, and wants to leave your fingerprints on a product, culture, and brand that will scale for years.

Required Skills & Experience

· 4–7+ years of Product Design experience in fast paced startup environments
· Strong portfolio demonstrating end to end ownership of complex product workflows
· Expert level Figma skills and fluency in modern design systems
· Experience designing for AI driven or B2B SaaS products
· Ability to collaborate deeply with engineering and product teams
· Technical proficiency with React, TypeScript, or AI assisted coding tools
· Experience conducting customer discovery, usability testing, and rapid prototyping

Desired Skills & Experience

· Background in engineering, computer science, or technical fields
· Experience as a founding designer, early-stage builder, or former founder/hacker
· Familiarity with healthcare, logistics, or other complex operational domains
· Ability to define visual identity and brand systems from scratch
· Passion for building design culture, process, and best practices

What You Will Be Doing Tech Breakdown

· 70% AI native product design & system architecture
· 30% Frontend/UI implementation (React, TypeScript, or AI coding tools)

Daily Responsibilities

· 70% Hands On Design Execution (wireframes, prototypes, visual design, design systems)
· 10% Management & Strategic Duties (design direction, product strategy, cross?functional alignment)
· 20% Team Collaboration (working with founders, engineers, and customers)

The Offer

· Bonus eligible

You will receive the following benefits:

· Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
· Vacation Time
· Stock Options

*Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis now and in the future.
