Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Stage Builders for a contract opportunity in Newport News, VA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)
  • Position requires a minimum of one year of experience as a Stage Builder.
  • Candidates must able to work at extreme heights or small confined spaces.
  • Must be able to kneel, squat, crawl, bend, stoop, and climb.
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs and must take and pass a respirator fit test.
  • Must be able to work indoors/outdoors year-round in all weather conditions.
  • Must be able to work assigned shift as production needs.
  • Must be able to pass Physical Agility Test.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
  • The selected candidate will construct, maintain, and remove all types of staging utilized at the shipyard. • Stage Builders climb and work at extreme heights, lift a minimum of 40 lbs. and work in confined spaces as required.

REQUIRED EDUCATION
HS Degree/GED from accredited school.
HOURS
All Shifts.

  • Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
