The Mission

  • Reporting to the Senior Vice President of the Kinetic Effects Business Area, the Hypersonic Vehicles Vice President will have overall responsibility for profit & loss, growth, technical execution, staffing and programmatic execution for a team of more than 250 direct and matrix professionals that develop and produce kinetic hypersonic effects for a diverse set of customers, including the US Army and US Navy. This position has the responsibility to deliver financial commitments to the business and mission commitments to our customers for programs totaling over $250M/year along with personnel responsibilities including oversight of hiring, project staffing, career development, and performance evaluation/accountability.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Operate in a fast-paced environment; demonstrate thought leadership; focus on delivering results; and collaborate across teams to support critical mission needs, engage customers, develop business strategies, and market potential solutions
  • Develop business strategies that provide opportunities for growth in revenue, coordinating and leading the activities of multiple departments and subsidiaries, and ensuring the financial goals established within the AOP are satisfied
  • Provide guidance to program/project managers to ensure organizational, technical, managerial and business development goals and values are met.
  • Interface with customers to develop relationships and ensure the highest quality of service
  • Promote cohesive team building with positive winning culture

Basic Qualifications

  • BA/BS (or equivalent experience) and 15+ years of prior relevant experience OR Master's with 13+ years of prior relevant experience
  • Working knowledge of DOW programs, tactical systems and current operational employment methodology and operational procedures
  • Prior experience leading development / production of kinetic missile effectors - either at system or subsystem level
  • Prior experience leading programs with manufacturing / production elements as well as programs which have produced products on scale.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including demonstrated ability to execute technical projects while gaining the confidence of customers, technical staff, managers, and peers.
  • Demonstrated ability in the areas of manpower planning, project reviews, scheduling, and budget control
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively engage customers, direct reports, employees, and all relevant stakeholders on both strategic and technical matters.
  • Must be a US Citizen and possess (as well as maintain) a final Secret Clearance and be eligible to possess and maintain a Top-Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience successfully supervising or leading teams or projects as a military officer or civilian management role
  • Prior experience with direct P&L management responsibility >$150M/Annually
  • Engineering or production prior experience / knowledge in the areas of hypersonics, kinetic effectors, manufacturing / production of kinetic effectors
