What does a staff user experience researcher do?

A Staff User Experience (UX) Researcher leads research initiatives to understand users’ needs, behaviors, and motivations, influencing product design and strategy. They use qualitative and quantitative methods such as interviews, usability testing, and surveys to gather insights. In addition to conducting studies, they often mentor junior researchers, collaborate with designers and product managers, and help shape the overall research vision for their organization. Their work ensures products are user-friendly, effective, and aligned with real-world requirements.

How does a staff user experience researcher typically collaborate with product and design teams throughout a project lifecycle?

A Staff User Experience Researcher works closely with product managers, designers, and engineers from the early stages of a project to ensure user insights inform decisions at every step.
