Work you'll do/Responsibilities
This AI-powered tutoring platform represents a transformational opportunity to modernize large-scale delivery training programs. The solution enables trainers to focus on interactive learning experiences such as VR training, driving simulators, onboarding, and safety training, while a training manager can facilitate the platform for larger groups. It provides a one-to-one AI tutor and guide to support experiential learning, allowing trainers to manage significantly larger cohorts more effectively. The platform is designed to meet diverse learner needs through adaptive AI tutoring, multilingual support, and flexible pacing that accommodates individual learning patterns
  • Build and improve the React/TypeScript front end for Kindle/tablet/mobile-friendly training experiences
  • Develop AWS Lambda-based backend services and APIs that support the Andale training workflows
  • Integrate Amazon Bedrock for conversational tutoring, review, assessment, and scenario-based learning
  • Implement AI features such as adaptive tutoring flows, multilingual experiences, progress tracking, session resume, and scoring/reporting
  • Evaluate and refine model performance through prompt tuning, output quality testing, hallucination reduction, guardrails, and model evaluation
  • Work on authentication and authorization, especially integration with existing learner identity/login systems
  • Design for scale and reliability, including caching, fallback logic, monitoring, and support for thousands of simultaneous users
  • Partner with product, analytics, UX, and training teams to translate curriculum and trainer needs into software features
  • Support future multimodal capabilities such as speech-to-text, text-to-speech, image/video integration, and agent-based orchestration
  • Help establish production engineering discipline: testing, CI/CD, observability, security, and enterprise deployment readiness

Qualifications
Required
  • 6+ years of experience in software, systems, or embedded engineering.
  • 6+ years of experience working Java Full Stack, React, & TypeScript
  • 6+ years of experience creating REST APIs
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
  • Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

  • Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $113,300-188,900.
