Job Summary:
Stoke Space is dedicated to building a sustainable and equitable future through the development of advanced space transportation systems. As a Full-Stack Software Developer on the Data Team, you will design and implement data visualization and analysis tools that enhance the efficiency of engineering tasks and monitor supercomputer performance. This role involves working on high-performance web UIs and scalable systems while mentoring peers and contributing to a strong technical culture.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Develop and maintain full-stack visualization tools for hardware and software analysis
โ€ข Design intuitive front-end interfaces and robust back-end systems for monitoring the performance and health of supercomputer systems
โ€ข Partner with cross-functional teams to design features that meet real-world, time-sensitive needs
โ€ข Ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability of visualization tools across both front-end and back-end systems
โ€ข Continuously improve existing tools and develop new features to meet evolving requirements
โ€ข Mentor engineers and contribute to a strong technical culture
โ€ข Participate in a low-friction on-call rotation; our platform is stable, but the company depends on what we build
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข 3 - 5 years of experience in software development
โ€ข Demonstrated expertise in full-stack development, particularly building tools for scientific computing, manufacturing workflows, or infrastructure monitoring/visualization
โ€ข Hands-on experience with time series data visualization libraries and platforms ( ex: Plotly, Highcharts, etc)
โ€ข Ability to design and maintain complex systems on AWS
โ€ข Professional experience with Rust building backend systems, tooling, and APIs
โ€ข Experience building modern web applications using frameworks such as React
โ€ข Solid understanding of full-stack architecture, design principles, and best practices
โ€ข Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
โ€ข Strong communication skills and a track record of effective collaboration in team environments
โ€ข Strong product intuition and customer empathy; you care about the why behind the code
โ€ข Proven leadership taking ideas from concept to production at scale
