Job description

Duties Description The Registered Nurse 1 will coordinate, direct and provide professional nursing care to residents of the Nursing Home under the direction and supervision of the Nurse Administrator. Notes: 1. Maintaining a current and valid license and/or registration is a condition of employment; failure to do so will result in removal from the position.

2. In order to be eligible for appointment and to maintain employment, you cannot be listed as an excluded individual or entity on any of the Federal and/or State Medicaid and Medicare exclusion lists. Should an appointee be subsequently listed as an excluded individual or entity on any of these lists, employment may be terminated Minimum Qualifications Candidates must possess a license and current registration as a registered professional nurse in New York State.

Reassignment: Current New York State Department of Health Veterans Home at Montrose employee with permanent or contingent permanent status as a Registered Nurse 1, Grade 18. Transfer: Current New York State employee with one or more years of permanent, contingent-permanent, or 55 b/c service in a position eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law, to a Registered Nurse 1, Grade 18. Preferred Qualifications: The preferred candidate would have experience in a Long-Term Care setting with a geriatric population

Additional Comments *Salary reflects the contractual salary range at step 4 and a geographic pay differential of $35,000 and downstate adjustment of $4,000 for New York City, Westchester, and Suffolk counties. Salary also includes shift differential for evening and night shift and $575.00 inconvenience pay. All Shifts Available
