Job Description

The Staff Accountant position offers a comprehensive experience in all aspects of accounting. As part of a collaborative team, the Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the accounting records of offices, ensuring reconciliation with Trucordia standards.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Reporting financial information, providing timely, accurate, and useful information to management for review and decision making
  • Working with Principles to communicate and manage financial goals/deadlines for month-end processes
  • Performing full balance sheet reconciliation, including substantiation, for monthly close work papers
  • Consolidating multi-company financial statements with variance analysis
  • Supporting other accounting staff in the creation of annual audits
  • Leading staff and junior accountants to ensure deadlines are met
  • Interpreting data and identifying trends to influence projects
  • Performing revenue reconciliation to carrier and client agreements
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or 1–3 years of related experience
  • Proficiency in general ledger reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, and journal entries
  • Experience with month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and basic formulas)
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare standard financial reports
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and time management skills
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while maintaining integrity and confidentiality
