Position Type: Full-time, non-exempt role

Location: Onsite at BBOP Center, San Bernardino, California.

Recruitment Focus: Strong candidates must help BBOP build capacity, revenue, measurable outcomes, compliance discipline, brand visibility, and long-term institutional value.

Position Summary

The Business Development Coordinator supports entrepreneurship programs, ecosystem engagement, partner outreach, entrepreneur communications, business development events, workshops, and program tracking.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Support entrepreneur outreach, intake, onboarding, communications, engagement, and follow-up.
  • Coordinate entrepreneurship workshops, business clinics, office hours, networking events, pitch prep sessions, and business development activities.
  • Assist with sponsorship outreach, partner follow-up, ecosystem mapping, meeting preparation, and CRM updates.
  • Support pitch competitions, BBOP Academy activities, accelerator/incubator programs, innovation events, and capital-readiness clinics.
  • Track entrepreneur outcomes, referrals, program participation, business milestones, and service utilization.
  • Coordinate communication among entrepreneurs, mentors, coaches, lenders, banks, CDFIs, investors, and partners.
  • Prepare meeting notes, follow-up emails, program materials, participant lists, and partner briefings.
  • Work with marketing and program staff to promote entrepreneurship services and capture success stories.
Required Qualifications and Competencies
  • Strong coordination, outreach, CRM/database, communication, and event support skills.
  • Experience working with small businesses, entrepreneurs, community partners, chambers, nonprofits, or business support programs preferred.
  • Ability to manage follow-up, track leads, update pipelines, and keep records current and accurate.
  • Comfort using Microsoft Office, Outlook, CRM systems, Monday.com, spreadsheets, AI tools, and digital communication platforms.
  • Professional writing, customer service, partner communication, and scheduling skills.
  • Entrepreneurial, organized, resourceful, and comfortable working with multiple stakeholders.
Education

Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, entrepreneurship, economic development, communications, public administration, or related field preferred. Relevant experience may substitute for degree requirements.

Experience

Minimum 2–4 years of business development support, program coordination, outreach, administrative support, entrepreneurship support, nonprofit programs, sales support, or customer relationship experience.
