Role Description The Staff Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in the Springfield, Illinois Metropolitan Area. This position is responsible for preparing and reviewing journal entries, maintaining general ledger accounts, and assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual closes. Day-to-day tasks include reconciling bank and balance sheet accounts, preparing financial statements, and supporting tax filings and audits with accurate documentation.
