Pay Range: $20.00 to $22.00 (+ an additionally $5 hourly rate on football gamedays!)

Job Summary
Summary: Join our team as a Concessions Supervisor and play a key role in managing the operations of concession stands during UW-Madison sporting events. In this position, you'll oversee non-profit volunteers, ensure proper training, and maintain a safe and efficient environment, all while delivering an exceptional guest experience. Anticipated start date in August.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage operations of multiple concession stands, ensuring smooth service and a positive guest experience during UW-Madison sporting events.
  • Assist team members and volunteers, responding to questions, addressing needs, and providing guidance throughout the event.
  • Understand menu offerings, presentation, and pricing to ensure accurate service and product quality.
  • Maintain inventory control and ensure the proper handling of products and equipment.
  • Stock and prepare concession stands before the event, ensuring everything is in place and ready for service.
  • Clean and close down stands after the event, ensuring everything is in order for the next event.
  • Complete event paperwork at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure proper records.
  • Uphold cash handling policies and follow food safety/sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe environment.
  • Enforce responsible alcohol service to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support event operations.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year of leadership experience in a food service or similar role.
  • Willingness to obtain Responsible Alcohol ServSafe Certification & Food Handler's ServSafe (if not already certified).
  • Must be 21+ years of age for alcohol handling responsibilities.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long hours during events.
  • Ability to lift 25-45 lbs when necessary for setup and inventory management.
  • Must be available to work all UW-Madison Football games and a majority of events at the Kohl Center Arena.
