Job description

Physical Therapist
Location: Coral Springs, Florida
Employment: Full-Time
Salary: $85K-$90K annually, based on experience
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM
Patient Schedule: Approximately 1-2 patients per hour
Practice Setting: Orthopedic Outpatient Physical Therapy
Position Overview
Every patient enters physical therapy with a different reason for needing treatment.
Some are recovering from joint surgery. Others are dealing with back or neck pain that affects their ability to work. Some want to return to exercise, sports, household activities, or normal movement following an injury.
As the Physical Therapist, your job is to determine what is physically limiting the patient and create a practical rehabilitation program that helps them move toward greater independence.
You will make clinical decisions throughout each patient's course of care and adjust treatment according to their progress.
Responsibilities
  • Review patient history and referral information
  • Perform orthopedic testing to identify physical impairments
  • Determine appropriate treatment priorities based on clinical findings
  • Teach exercises that improve strength, stability, coordination, and flexibility
  • Address movement patterns that may interfere with recovery
  • Provide appropriate manual techniques within the plan of care
  • Evaluate patient performance to determine when treatment should advance
  • Give clear instructions for exercises patients can perform between visits
  • Maintain accurate clinical records throughout rehabilitation

Requirements
  • Active Physical Therapist License
  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or MSPT Degree
  • Previous outpatient PT experience
  • Familiarity with orthopedic and musculoskeletal rehabilitation
  • Ability to communicate treatment recommendations clearly
