Job description

St. Robert Catholic School in Flushing, Michigan is seeking two passionate and dedicated Middle School Teachers to join our vibrant academic community. We are committed to forming students intellectually, spiritually, and personally within a faith-filled environment. Teaching assignments are flexible and may include a combination of the following subject areas based on candidate strengths and school needs:
  • Math
  • Science
  • English Language Arts
  • Religion

Candidates may teach one or multiple subject areas. We are open to building positions around the strengths and certifications of qualified applicants.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging instruction in assigned subject area(s) aligned with school curriculum
  • Foster a positive, structured classroom and homeroom environment
  • Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs
  • Assess student progress and provide timely, meaningful feedback
  • Collaborate with administration, faculty, and parents to support student growth
  • Support and model the Catholic mission of the school in daily interactions
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field appropriate to teaching area
  • Valid teaching certification
  • Prior teaching experience preferred, especially at the middle school level
  • Commitment to supporting the Catholic mission and values of the school
  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
Additional Requirements:
  • Practicing Catholic preferred (required for Religion instruction)
  • Completion of background check and Protecting God's Children program
