Overview of the Senior Specialist, Scrum Master:

As a member of the Program Management Office (PMO) team, you will actively contribute to planning, delivery, and reporting for our application development teams. You will be a Scrum Master for one or two application delivery teams and work with our product and technical leads to ensure the teams are operating in an effective and efficient manner. Using a servant leader mindset and expert knowledge of agile practices and the scrum framework, you’ll help enable the delivery of high-quality customer-facing applications.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Senior Specialist, Scrum Master:

  • Facilitate daily stand-up, release and iteration planning, sprint review, and retrospectives.
  • Guide team in story pointing and work effort estimates.
  • Support product owner(s) with intra-team dynamics with respect to priorities and scope.
  • Partner with project management to develop and track project risks and delivery output and timelines.
  • Drive team iteration execution and communicate with management and stakeholders.
  • Lead multi-team sprint review preparation and presentation.
  • Conduct post-mortem and root cause analysis to help teams continuously improve their practices to ensure maximum productivity.
  • Lead team effort in relentless improvement.
  • Proactively identify and eliminate impediments.
  • Present high level project readouts for program leadership and senior management.
  • Leads and supports SAFe implementation by driving team readiness and effective execution of quarterly PI Planning events.

Skills and Experience of the Senior Specialist, Scrum Master:

  • 5+ Years of experience leading sprints as a Scrum Master
  • BA/BS degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Scrum Master or Scrum Coaching certifications preferred
  • Demonstrable expertise of agile methodology and frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, etc.
  • High level of proficiency in JIRA and Confluence
  • Thrives in a highly collaborative, fast paced environment
  • Effective leader with a natural ability to influence and motivate teams.
  • Proven understanding of SDLC and Agile procedures to predict the development teams’ needs
  • Passionate commitment to delivering products on time
  • Comfortable presenting project readouts and updates to a variety of stakeholder audiences.
  • Deep understanding of agile metrics (burndown metrics, velocity, KPI’s, etc.) to analyze and improve
  • Demonstrates the ability to understand and effectively represent both business and technology perspectives.
  • Excellent communication skills in person, over the phone, and through email.

Compensation:

  • We offer a competitive compensation package commensurate with experience including full benefits offering and PTO. Minimum salary of $95,000 plus bonus opportunities and other incentives.
