This position is based in Milwaukee, WI. Hybrid environment 3 days in office, 2 days remote.

PURPOSE

Working independently and in close partnership with business leaders, technology executives, and risk management teams, the Senior Business Analyst is responsible for the design, execution, and continuous improvement of the organization's Business Continuity (BC), Crisis Management (CM), and Disaster Recovery (DR) programs, as well as the coordination of related activities in partnership with the Enterprise Risk Management program.

As an influential communicator, this role builds alignment across diverse stakeholders, translating complex risk and resilience concepts into clear, actionable outcomes. This role provides subjectmatter expertise and program leadership, ensures alignment with enterprise risk management and regulatory expectations, and helps embed operational resilience practices across the organization. The position requires sound judgment, strong influence skills, and the ability to lead complex initiatives across multiple business and technology domains.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Leadership & Governance

  • Owns and manages the enterprise Business Continuity and Crisis Management programs, including standards, methodologies, documentation, and governance processes.
  • Establishes multiyear program roadmaps, annual objectives, and maturity improvement initiatives.
  • Develops and maintains metrics, dashboards, and executivelevel reporting on program readiness, risk exposure, testing outcomes, and remediation progress.
  • Leads responses to regulatory, audit, customer, and internal review requests related to BC, CM, and DR.
  • Identifies gaps, emerging risks, and improvement opportunities, recommending solutions aligned with organizational risk appetite.

Business Continuity & Crisis Management

  • Leads Business Impact Analysis (BIA) activities across business units, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Partners with senior leaders to define and validate critical processes, recovery strategies, RTOs, RPOs, and resource dependencies.
  • Oversees development, maintenance, and periodic validation of Business Continuity Plans (BCPs).
  • Develops, documents, and maintains emergency response procedures, ensuring clear roles, escalation paths, and decisionmaking protocols are defined to support timely and effective response to incidents impacting people, facilities, or operations.
  • Designs and leads crisis management and continuity exercises, including tabletop and simulation activities, at varying levels of complexity.
  • Evaluates exercise and realworld event results, driving root cause analysis and remediation to strengthen organizational resilience.

Disaster Recovery

  • Serves as the primary business partner to Technology / IS teams for disaster recovery strategy alignment and riskbased prioritization.
  • Ensures business recovery requirements are appropriately reflected in technology DR plans and architectures.
  • Assists in coordination of enterprise DR testing, including scope definition, execution oversight, results evaluation, and executive communication.
  • Maintains visibility into application and infrastructure recovery capabilities and dependencies, escalating material gaps where appropriate.

Continuous Improvement & Thought Leadership

  • Communicates clearly and professionally with stakeholders across business units and technology teams.
  • Participates in training, certifications, workshops, and exercises to build knowledge of business continuity, crisis management, and operational resilience.
  • Learns and applies organizational policies, standards, and risk management practices.
  • Monitors industry trends, regulatory expectations, and best practices related to operational resilience, business continuity, and crisis management.
  • Recommends enhancements to tools, technologies, and processes supporting BC/CM/DR capabilities.
  • Contributes to broader enterprise risk management and operational risk discussions as a subjectmatter expert.

EXPERIENCE / BACKGROUND

  • 5-8+ years of progressively responsible experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Business Continuity, Crisis Management, Disaster Recovery
    • Business Analysis, Program Management, or Technology Risk
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross functional initiatives with enterprise impact
  • Experience interacting with senior leadership, auditors, and regulators preferred

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Knowledge:

  • Deep understanding of Business Continuity, Crisis Management, and Disaster Recovery principles
  • Strong grasp of Business Impact Analysis (BIA) methodologies and recovery strategy development
  • Understanding of how IT architecture and disaster recovery capabilities enable business resilience
  • Knowledge of project and program management lifecycles

Preferred Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of MGIC business units, products, and operating model
  • Familiarity with risk management frameworks, regulatory expectations, and audit practices
  • Professional certifications (or progress toward) such as CBCP, MBCP, CRISC, PMP, or similar

Pay Range:

$87,990.00 - $149,590.00

This range aligns with current market data and reflects our commitment to competitive and equitable compensation. Salary offers are based on factors such as experience, skills, education, and training. The range may vary in certain locations to reflect local market conditions. It is not typical to initiate pay at the top of the range to account for internal equity and allow for future and continued salary growth
