Responsibilities

As a PE / Sr. PE, your key responsibility will be to serve as a vital team member associated with assisting the Project Team in all aspects of the build resulting in completion of the project on time, under budget, and with quality that exceeds the expectations of F.A. Wilhelm and our Clients. 

 A.    Project Start Up

  • Plan and coordinate project in conjunction with the Project Managers, Operations Managers, and Superintendent
  • Project support through research, interpretation, codes, conflicts, interference, and errors.
  • Reviews design drawings, vendor drawings and installation instructions and researches and resolves drawing interpretation problems, applicable codes, conflicts, interference, and errors.
  • Distribute copy of design drawings and documents to project team and subcontractors.
  • Prepare and maintain LEED reporting and/or documentation requirements of the LEED Action Plan (if applicable)

 B.    Project Build

  • Assist and coordinate RFIs, change notices, extra work orders, and vendor materials, and reviews project design and engineering bills of material to ensure their completeness.
  • Coordinate and resolve engineering and construction problems, assist in project schedule maintenance, and attend meetings, prepare and distribute minutes.
  • Implement cost controls and the reconciliation of billings.
  • Maintain, prepare, and verify contract drawings, shop drawings, submittals, project database(s), reports, quality control activities & documents, project estimates and costs.
  • Communication liaison between the office, field, entire project team.

 C.   Project Closeout

  • Assist project close-out by developing and completing close-out documentation.
  • Maintain and complete As-Builts.
  • Manage punch list process.

What it takes

  • A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or related field or 1-4 years of related work experience or a combination of both.
  • Knowledgeable of Construction processes.
  • Proven computer platform experience.  Procore a plus.
