Job description

Overview
As an Air Quality Project Consultant/Engineer for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), in our Naperville, IL, office, you will work under the direction of project managers and senior staff to assist clients in the waste management industry. You will take part in preparing permit applications, performing analyses for landfill gas and air monitoring systems at open and closed solid waste management facilities. Both office and field work may be involved. Field services may include performing construction quality assurance (CQA) associated with construction of landfills and other types of waste processing or disposal sites. Office services will require basic understanding and application of engineering analysis and design principles.
General Job Duties
  • LFG wellfield and collection systems
  • Perform LFG design and construction
  • LFG treatment and disposal systems (Flaring systems, etc.)
  • Understand operation and maintenance of landfill gas (LFG) collection systems
  • If necessary, coordinate materials, equipment, and labor for construction projects; and
  • Produce professional correspondence and reports

Applicants must be legally authorized to work for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Qualifications
  • B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • 1+ years' experience in the analysis, design, permitting, and CQA of waste disposal facilities
  • E.I.T license with ability to obtain PE license within 4 years
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD/Civil 3D software; and
  • Ability to speak and write proficiently and professionally
