Job description

Job Summary:
Physicians Mutual is seeking a Senior Performance Analyst to help shape the future of their Policyowner Services organization. The role involves building and enhancing operational analytics, reporting, and performance insights that influence customer experience and business outcomes.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze operational performance data to identify trends, performance drivers, and opportunities to improve service, efficiency, and customer experience.
• Conduct root cause analyses and provide actionable recommendations that support operational and strategic decision-making.
• Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Tableau, Power BI, and other reporting tools.
• Partner with leaders and cross-functional teams to communicate insights, measure results, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 4–7 years of experience in data analysis, performance analytics, business intelligence, or operational reporting.
• Experience analyzing operational performance metrics and translating data into business recommendations.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting.
• Experience with business intelligence and visualization platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis capabilities.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently.
Preferred:
• Experience supporting customer service, contact center, insurance, financial services, or other service-oriented operations.
• SQL or data querying experience.
• Experience integrating data from multiple business systems.
• Professional certifications in business intelligence or analytics platforms.
• Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
