Job Summary:
Info Way Solutions is looking for an experienced SQL Server DBA to support large-scale transactional databases in a hospitality and retail environment. The role involves database administration, performance tuning, data analysis, and collaboration with business and IT teams.
Responsibilities:
• Administer SQL Server 2016 to 2022 environments
• Monitor database health, performance, blocking, and deadlocks
• Perform routine maintenance including DBCC checks and index management
• Manage backups, restores, high availability, disaster recovery, and failover
• Implement SQL security and role-based access control
• Manage SQL Agent jobs, ETL schedules, and data integrations
• Understand POS, inventory, and retail data models
• Identify and resolve data issues such as duplicate records and data mismatches
• Translate technical issues into business impact
• Work closely with finance, retail managers, store managers, and IT teams
• Document database architecture and data flows
• Perform query and index tuning for performance optimization
• Support SQL Server migrations and server consolidation
• Improve security, backup, and disaster recovery strategies
• Support reporting and monitoring dashboards
• Assist with new store rollouts and vendor integrations
• Support PCI and SOX audit requirements
Qualifications:
Required:
• 8 plus years of experience as a SQL Server DBA
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server 2016 to 2022
• Expertise in performance tuning and query optimization
• Experience with SSMS, SQL Profiler, Extended Events, and SSIS
• Experience supporting large transactional databases in retail or hospitality
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with non-technical teams
Preferred:
• Experience with Yellow Dog integrations
• Knowledge of SQL monitoring tools such as RedGate or SolarWinds
• Experience with Power BI or Tableau
• Basic knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory
