Description

We are seeking a highly skilled SSIS/SQL Developer to join our dynamic and innovative team. As an SSIS/SQL Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining efficient database load and update processes using Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and other related technologies. Your expertise in SSIS and SQL programming, particularly with large data sets, will be crucial in developing our data integration packages, ensuring data accuracy, and supporting various data-driven initiatives within our organization. 


SSIS/SQL Developer Responsibilities and Duties 

  • Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages to efficiently load large, consolidated data sets.  
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for data integration and SSIS solutions. 
  • Create and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions where necessary to support SSIS package operation/performance. 
  • Perform data profiling and analysis to identify data quality issues and propose appropriate solutions. 
  • Implement data cleansing, transformation, and validation rules to ensure the accuracy and consistency of data. 
  • Collaborate with database administrators and data architects to align processes with the company's data processing frameworks and database standards. 
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including data flow diagrams, data dictionaries, and technical specifications. 
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of SSIS processes to ensure efficient data processing and system reliability. 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, including data integration failures, data quality problems, and performance bottlenecks. 
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in SSIS, SQL development, and data integration technologies. 

Requirements

SSIS/SQL Developer Work Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in designing and implementing SSIS solutions according to best practices, ideally with large data sets. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a SQL Developer within a data intensive environment, demonstrating strong analytical and critical thinking skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business requirements and translate them into database-oriented solutions.

SSIS/SQL Developer Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered. 
  • Proven experience as an SSIS/SQL Developer or a similar role, with a strong understanding of database concepts and SQL programming. 
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and experience in designing and developing database load/update processes. 
  • Proficiency in SQL programming, including complex query optimization, stored procedures, and functions. 
  • Solid understanding of data modeling concepts  
  • Familiarity with data profiling and quality assurance techniques. 
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify data-related issues and propose effective solutions. 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Ability and desire to share SSIS knowledge, approaches, and experience with less experienced team members. 
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. 

SSIS/SQL Developer Additional Considerations
