Overview:
Job Title: SQL Business Analyst (689783)
Location: Atlanta, GA 30303 Remote
Duration: Long-Term Contract
The Business Analyst will work within the Office of Information Technology and will be responsible for interfacing with various offices and divisions to review requirements, lead JAD sessions, schedule meetings, prepare test plans, and create system requirement documents for use by system analyst to produce detail design documents for specific projects.
Duties and responsibilities
• Under general supervision design, develop, implement SQL queries, create custom reports to enhance
organizational productivity.
Develop, implement, and optimize stored procedures and functions using T-SQL
• Create ad-hoc queries and reports as requested and provide on-going analytical support
• Work with users to understand business processes, gather/document project requirements and translate
them into reports and applications.
• Works on process flows and screen designs and provides storyboarding to support system design. Review
and interpret ongoing business report requirements
• Provide timely scheduled management reporting
• Thoroughly test solutions to ensure functionality and integrity
• Troubleshooting of third party and custom software applications
• Help Desk support as needed to support production applications
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, MIS, Engineering, or related fields.
• 7+ years of experience as a SQL Developer or similar role.
• Development of complex T-SQL queries and corresponding database objects
• Experience across the SDLC, including requirements, design, development, testing, documentation,
training, deployment, operations, support, and maintenance.
• Development experience in scripting using .Net or Java technologies
• Familiarity with code versioning tools, like Git, SVN, and TFS
• Excellent Linux/Unix command knowledge and cloud infrastructure (Amazon Web Services)
• Ability to work well with business unit SME's, Business Analysts, vendors, and end users in cross-
functional teams.
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
• Track record of meeting or exceeding client expectations, personal performance expectations, and
achieving project goals.
