Job description

Location: 80% Remote โ€“ Candidate must live within 2 hours of a government facility
Project Overview:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be able to pass Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) / Medium-Risk federal agency security clearance.
  • Data is collected daily from multiple data sources with a variety of data types. The warehouse contains approximately 15 terabytes of data and collects approximately 30 - 40 gigabytes of data each week.ย 
  • Hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and support the projects SQL development tasks per the clientโ€™s request.
  • Comprehensive Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) understanding.
  • Demonstrated success in tailoring corporate-level SDLC to follow customer SDLC.ย 
  • Develop, debug, and maintain SQL Server stored procedures, views, functions, jobs, etc.
  • Develop SQL databases, schemas, and tables, etc.
  • Develop automated queries, etc. to support analyst requests.ย 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) processes, stored procedures, etc.ย 
  • Create, troubleshoot, and maintain SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages.
  • Develop processes to import data from various external sources.
  • Develop and optimize complex SQL statements.
  • Curate data for dashboard reports.
  • Document current ETL procedures to prepare for SQL migration.
  • Work with existing SQL Server tables, stored procedures, views, and functions.
  • Support the design, development, and deployment for a new database environment.
  • Actively participate in daily Kanban meetings.
  • Support the project team by identifying and correcting data integrity issues.
  • ย Create and maintain detailed standard operating procedures.
  • Prepare configuration documents, test plans and additional documentation as needed.

Skills Requirement:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5+ years of SQL development experience.ย 
  • An additional 2 years of experience in large enterprise environments may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL in enterprise environment.
  • Ability to conform to current processes and procedures.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to figure out unknown issues.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow directions to ensure clients goals are met.
  • Ability to adapt to new environments and assimilate information quickly.
  • Work independently and with a team on multiple tasks with multiple deadlines.
  • Knowledge of big data analytics a plus.
  • Knowledge of VB.Net and/or .Net Core a plus.
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence Software a plus.
