Bertera CDJR West Springfield is an automotive dealership specializing in sales, service, and maintenance of Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram vehicles. We are currently seeking a highly-organized and customer-oriented individual to join our team as an Assistant Service Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a growing company that values professionalism and excellence in customer service.
Responsibilities:
1. Support the Service Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the service department, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
2. Assist in managing and coordinating the service team, including technicians, service advisors, and support staff, ensuring a positive work environment and maximum productivity.
3. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting, assisting, and effectively communicating with customers regarding their service needs, vehicle repairs, and maintenance.
4. Collaborate with the Service Manager to develop and implement training programs for service staff to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.
5. Monitor and enforce established departmental policies, procedures, and safety protocols to ensure compliance and a safe working environment.
6. Assist with resolving escalated customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, maintaining high customer satisfaction levels.
7. Perform regular quality control inspections to ensure adherence to established service standards, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
8. Assist in managing the service department's budget, including monitoring expenses, analyzing financial reports, and recommending cost-saving measures.
9. Ensure accurate and timely completion of service records, warranty claims, and other administrative tasks in compliance with manufacturer guidelines.
10. Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and manufacturer-specific service procedures to provide expert advice and recommendations to customers and staff.
Requirements:
1. High school diploma or GED equivalent. Associate or Bachelor's degree in Automotive Technology or a related field is preferred.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a service advisor or automotive management role, preferably within a Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, or Ram dealership.
3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
4. Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and mentor a team.
5. Solid understanding of automotive service operations, including repair and maintenance processes, scheduling, and billing procedures.
6. Familiarity with manufacturer-specific service procedures and diagnostic tools.
7. Proficient computer skills, including experience with service management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
8. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
9. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
