The approximate date of this internship is January 2027 to June 2027 and will be located in Glendale, CA.

What You Will Do

We are looking for a Project Engineering intern who will be responsible for the technical coordination and integration of the Design and Planning (D&P) disciplines during the course of a specific project, land, or park including coordination of D&P efforts with Creative, Show and Ride Studios! As an intern on the team, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Assist Project Engineer or Design Manager in the architecture and facilities engineering project coordination and integration from conceptual design through construction of themed entertainment projects
  • Assist in facilitating technical coordination of A/E design documents, models, specs, basis of design among D&P disciplines and across WDI Divisions (Creative, Show and Ride) and in consideration of programmatic requirements (Operational Stakeholders)
  • Assist in organizing and facilitating big room/Integrated Concurrent Engineering (ICE) sessions and design reviews
  • Assist with quality assurance and control, both with design documentation as well as field construction
  • Assisting in the resolution of questions arising from construction documents, field conditions and contractor requests for information
  • Track of facility punch lists
  • Coordinate document release process between disciplines and document control specialist (plot coordination, repro and digital/physical distribution)
  • Provide technical input to other project team members as required to assist with project decision-making and settling of contractor change orders
  • Resolve questions arising from construction documents, field conditions and contractor requests for information
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Working knowledge of Building Information Management (BIM)
  • Knowledgeable in the use of computer technology in the CADD generation of drawings
  • Experience working with punch lists in a construction environment
Education

Currently enrolled as a Junior or higher attending an accredited college/university earning a degree majoring in Engineering, Architecture, or similar

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
Additional Information
  • Able to provide reliable transportation to/from work
  • Must be fully available for the duration of the internship
  • Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship in Glendale, CA
The pay rate for this role in Glendale, CA is $31 per hour for undergraduate students and $36 per hour for graduate level students.
