TEMPORARY - Technology Support Intern (CLEAR Funded)


Job Title: TEMPORARY - Technology Support Intern (CLEAR Funded) Reports To: Director of Customer Service Classification: Temporary Wage/Hour Status: Non-exempt Days: Start Date: To Be Determined Salary: See Compensation Plan - Temporary Contract: None Date Revised: 2/24/2025 Primary Purpose: Support the goals of Spring Branch ISD by keeping campus technologies operational. Qualifications/Skills:

Education/Certification:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of Cisco IT Essentials One, CCNA One and Two OR have an A+ or CCNA Intro Certification.

Special Knowledge/Skills:

  • Minimum Assessment Standard: Broad knowledge of MS Word and broad knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Computer literate. Ability to operate various office equipment (copier/fax machine).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with people effectively.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Ability to lift and transport textbooks/materials to designated areas.

Other:

  • Current SBISD Student or Student from Previous School Year Referral from SBISD Teacher Required.
  • Preference will be given to those who have participated in previous SBISD internships with the Technology Services Department.
Major Duties and
Responsibilities:

Support:

  • Document and maintain network equipment.
    Perform routine maintenance of computers and other technology.
    Initiate and monitor work requests.
    Provide technology support to staff through troubleshooting, problem solving and on-the-spot training.
    Assist with the preparation of technology for storage and the reconnection of technology after storage.



  • Work daily with Data Network Technicians and Call Center Technicians.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:
None Equipment Used: Computer and various office equipment. Working Conditions:

Mental Demands:

  • Maintain emotional control under stress.
  • Work with frequent interruptions.
  • This position requires regular in-person interaction with the public.

Physical Demands:

  • Repetitive hand motions.
  • Prolonged use of the computer.
  • Frequent sitting, stooping, bending, pushing and pulling.
  • Moving small stacks of textbooks, boxes, equipment and other campus equipment.
