Job description

The Inventory and Accounting Assistant supports the accounting and manufacturing teams through inventory reconciliation, production reporting, job costing support, and general accounting activities. This position serves as a key link between operations and accounting, helping ensure the accuracy of inventory records, production transactions, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. 

DUTIES:

  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities and general ledger analysis.
  • Reconcile daily production transactions and investigate discrepancies.
  • Support job costing processes through reporting, analysis, and transaction review.
  • Coordinate inventory cycle counts and research and resolve count variances and transaction errors.
  • Support production, warehouse, and accounting personnel to maintain accurate production and inventory records.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly operational and inventory reports.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory accuracy and reporting processes.
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Associate degree in Accounting, Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, inventory control, accounting support, or related operational roles.
  • Experience working with inventory transactions, cycle counts, and reconciliation processes.
  • Strong Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, filtering, and data analysis.
  • Experience with ERP systems preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and resolve discrepancies independently.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with operations and accounting teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
