ABOUT THE ROLE

Red Seat Ventures is seeking a Video Production & Studio Manager, to support day-to-day studio and technical production operations from our New York office. This role is responsible for owning onsite and remote production workflows, maintaining studio systems, supporting creators' technical production needs, and ensuring reliable execution across live and recorded productions.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on production professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving technical challenges, and is comfortable stepping into multiple production roles as needed. Success in this role requires strong technical expertise, exceptional troubleshooting skills, and a proactive approach to maintaining high-quality production standards.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and readiness of Red Seat Ventures' production studios

  • Configure, operate, and maintain production equipment, including cameras, studio microphones, lighting, sets, background displays, video switchers, recording systems, and transmission paths

  • Support onsite and remote productions by operating technical equipment and stepping into key production roles as needed

  • Assist with technical production functions, including camera shading, audio level management, intercom programming, and remote guest feed management

  • Operate and support live productions using TriCaster and vMix production switchers

  • Perform preventative maintenance and proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software issues

  • Coordinate production equipment requests and technical support for creators and internal teams

  • Maintain accurate documentation for production systems, workflows, procedures, and equipment

  • Support media operations through content capture, media management, and delivery workflows

  • Coordinate hardware and software updates to maintain production system reliability

  • Travel as needed to support productions and technical operations

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • 2+ years of hands-on technical experience supporting live streaming, broadcast, or digital production environments

  • 4+ years of experience as a Technical Director, Technical Manager, or in a similar production technology role

  • Demonstrated expertise operating professional broadcast equipment, including cameras, studio lighting, video switchers, audio consoles, recording systems, and transmission equipment

  • Extensive experience with vMix and TriCaster production switchers

  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to communicate technical solutions clearly and support production teams during live events

  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud applications

  • Comprehensive understanding of audio, video, IP networking, and signal flow within live production environments

  • Experience managing live streaming productions, including setup, monitoring, troubleshooting, and delivery across multiple streaming platforms

  • Experience with professional audio networking technologies, including Dante

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and other nontraditional hours based on production schedules

NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

  • Experience supporting podcast and creator-focused video productions

  • Familiarity with cloud-based production, remote contribution, or IP-based broadcast workflows

This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
