Job description

Position:                            Intern – Video Production

Department:                      Digital Media

Reporting Relationship:  Reports to Senior Producer - Football Talk Video

Status:                               Internship (Non-Exempt)

Position Summary

The Video Production Intern will support multiple areas of our Digital Video department. Duties will include logging practice and game footage as well as assisting our videography team with capturing content. In addition, this position will get some studio and control room experience with our programming team on weekly shows. Candidates should have a strong interest in sports, the ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments and exhibit a professional yet enthusiastic attitude.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist in logging practice and game footage in media asset management software
  • Build and edit highlights packs in Adobe Premiere
  • Work with Social team to find show clips for social media platforms
  • Learn Xpression and act as graphic operator for certain productions
  • Work with Docs and Features team on narrative logging
  • Assist in the capture of locker room interviews and press conferences
  • Help with equipment setup on ancillary productions
  • Additional shooting and editing as assigned
  • Ownership over player highlight project that is updated weekly
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong interest in sports video production, social media, and/or broadcasting
  • Video Production education or relevant major/degree
  • Familiarity with editing software
  • Some understanding of shooting
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays
  • Willingness to learn and improve new processes of video production
  • Experience with operating control room equipment preferred

Skills & Competencies

  • Self-motived and ability to take initiative with projects
  • Strong time management and organization skills
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environments

Physical Requirements

  • Sitting at a desk and computer for long periods of time.
  • Bending, standing, reaching, kneeling, and lifting technology equipment and office materials.
  • Walking throughout the stadium facility, sometimes for an extended period of time.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment (mostly office environment, outside in a stadium facility at times which may include inclement weather conditions).
