Here at the Detroit Pistons, we believe great stories create lasting connections. We're looking for a Production Content Strategy Manager to help shape how our creative teams  plan, produce, and deliver impactful content across every fan touchpoint.  


In this role, you'll lead the operational strategy behind our content production, bringing  together creative, marketing, digital, partnerships, and production teams to ensure  projects move seamlessly from concept to execution. You'll improve workflows, optimize production planning, oversee content operations, and help our teams produce world-class creative at scale. This role also provides leadership to our Video Systems Coordinator while driving operational excellence across the organization. 


What You'll Do

  • Lead production operations and cross-functional planning for the Content & Video Production team. 
  • Partner with Marketing, Digital, Brand, Partnerships, and Production teams to prioritize projects and align creative resources. 
  • Manage production timelines, project workflows, budgets, and resource planning to ensure successful execution. 
  • Build and improve scalable processes that enhance collaboration, communication, and operational efficiency. 
  • Oversee digital asset management, including organization, metadata, governance, archiving, and accessibility. 
  • Manage external vendors and production partners for shoots, campaigns, and special projects. 
  • Track project progress, team capacity, and production priorities while providing leadership with clear reporting and recommendations. 
  • Mentor and develop the Video Systems Coordinator while fostering a collaborative, high-performing team culture. 
  • Support game nights, events, and content productions as needed to continuously improve the fan and brand experience. 


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience. 
  • 5-8 years of experience leading creative operations, production management, content strategy, or project management within sports, media, entertainment, agency, or brand environments. 
  • Experience leading cross-functional creative teams and managing production workflows from planning through execution. 
  • Strong understanding of creative production, digital content, video workflows, and asset management systems. 
  • Exceptional project management, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. 
  • Experience managing vendors, production partners, and external agencies. 
  • Ability to translate business objectives into scalable production processes and operational strategies. 
  • Passion for sports, storytelling, and creating content that connects with fans. 
  • Familiarity with AI, automation, or workflow optimization tools is a plus.
