Job Summary/Basic Function
The Student Video Operator I performs a range of tasks as assigned by supervising staff in order to produce professional-looking, live-stream video of Missouri Valley Conference sports. The Operator I reports to the Sports Video Manager and/or the Sports Video Coordinator.

NCAA Guidelines

Job Duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
-Work as assigned to produce MVC volleyball, men's basketball, women's basketball, and MVFC football. Assigned work might include these specific jobs: production assistant, on-site engineer, audio operator, replay operator, graphics operator, and camera operator.
- Learn how to use other pieces of equipment related to video production and be prepared to fill in as needed as part of the production crew.
- Develop a high level of understanding of intercollegiate sports and the video production values associated with online distribution of sports events.
- Be able to commit to working nights and weekends, according to the sports schedule. Be dependable when scheduled for work.
- Be professional and courteous while representing Indiana State University and Student Media at public events. Professional attire will be required.
- Work as a member of a team.
- Assigned work might also include broadcast announcing.
- Any other work assigned by the Sports Video Manager or Sports Video Coordinator.
The Student Video Operator I may work up to 15 hours per week during the fall and spring academic terms, and should be available for games played during semester breaks. Minimum competency in video or audio production is required and familiarity with intercollegiate sports will be helpful. The schedule will be determined by work needs, but students should expect to be scheduled to work on nights and weekends according to the intercollegiate sports calendar.
