Position Summary:

This position offers a unique opportunity for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to gain hands-on experience in intercollegiate athletics. The selected candidate will play a vital role in supporting Washburn Athletics' ticketing and sales efforts, enhancing customer service operations, and contributing to the development of corporate sponsorships. Reporting directly to the Director of Sales, the Graduate Assistant for Ticketing and Sales will assist with all aspects of ticket operations and revenue generation, helping to elevate the fan experience and drive engagement within the highly competitive Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA), the premier conference in NCAA Division II.
This position is ideal for a graduate student pursuing a career in sports management, sales, or athletic administration.

Essential Functions:
-Assist with season ticket renewals and ticket sales for football, men's basketball, and women's basketball.
-Support game day box office operations, including setup, ticket sales, and troubleshooting for all ticketed events, including football, volleyball, and basketball.
-Manage camp registrations, including online setup, registration tracking, and customer communication.
-Resolve ticketing issues and provide top-tier customer service through in-person, phone, and email support.
-Assist with player passlist and Washburn Student All-Sport Pass registration.
-Assist with the preparation of corporate sponsorship proposals, presentations, and other sales materials.
-Research and develop sales leads for potential corporate sponsors and maintain sponsor tracking documents.
-Help maintain and update the online ticket portal and generate sales and attendance reports.
-Collaborate with staff to ensure a professional and efficient ticketing and sponsorship experience.

Non-Essential Functions:
-Perform other job-related duties as assigned or as appropriate.

Required Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree.
-Job contingent on admission and enrollment into the Washburn University Graduate School.
-Availability to work evenings and weekends for athletic events as required.
-Maintain a minimum cumulative and semester GPA of 2.5.
-Ability to problem solve, manage multiple tasks, adhere to deadlines, and prioritize work.

Preferred Qualifications:
-Experience with Hometown Ticketing or similar ticketing platforms, Google Sheets, Canva, Microsoft 365, and Adobe Creative Suite products.
-Background in sales, marketing, or sponsorships, particularly in a collegiate or sports setting.
-Strong interpersonal, organizational, and written communication skills.
