About Us:

Forté Sports Medicine and Orthopedics is a leading healthcare provider dedicated to delivering comprehensive sports medicine and orthopedic care. Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Emergency Medicine/Sports Medicine Physician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be board-certified or board-eligible in both Emergency Medicine and Sports Medicine, with a strong commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to athletes and active individuals of all ages. You will be involved in seeing patients at Forte Fast, our specialized urgent care for orthopedic and sports injuries, across multiple locations. This role offers opportunities to serve as a team physician for high school sports teams, with potential for collegiate and professional team physician roles as they arise. The position can offer flexibility to maintain a part-time role, allowing continued practice in Emergency Medicine if desired.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive care for acute and chronic sports-related injuries
  • Serve as a team physician for high school teams, with potential for future collegiate and professional team involvement.
  • Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, athletic trainers, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Perform musculoskeletal ultrasound and ultrasound-guided procedures
  • Participate in community outreach and sports events to promote injury prevention and wellness.
  • Stay current with the latest research and advancements in sports medicine and emergency care.
  • Educate patients, families, and the community on sports injury prevention and health maintenance.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine and Sports Medicine.
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state.
  • Proficiency in musculoskeletal ultrasound and ultrasound-guided procedures.
  • Strong diagnostic and clinical skills with a focus on sports injuries.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience working with athletes at all ages and levels, including recreational, youth, high school, collegiate, and professional sports.
  • Previous involvement in sports medicine research or publications.
  • Familiarity with the latest technologies and techniques in sports medicine.
