Overview:
CBS Sports is seeking a candidate who brings a love and proven track record of developing sports video content with an unmatched drive for data-driven decision making. In this role you'll develop and implement the programming calendar for the No. 1 sports FAST channel, CBS Sports HQ, while also driving one of the largest sports VOD businesses in the industry.
 
In the pursuit of increasing audience and revenue to our streaming and VOD businesses, you will bring well-developed communication and team-building skills to the role. You'll work closely with production, social, editorial, marketing, sales, product and all the amazing groups across CBS Sports, Paramount Plus and partners.
 
Having a deep knowledge of CBS Sports' broadcast rights - particularly NFL and College Football - along with the betting and fantasy space along with experience working in large media organizations and a track record of developing content will be keys to unlocking audience and revenue opportunities. A passion and experience with analytics-based decision making and the ability to provide feedback and reporting to multiple stakeholders will further drive success in this role.
 
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Develop weekly, seasonal and event CBS Sports HQ and VOD programming plans 
  • Collaborate daily with production and key stakeholders to review network and VOD performance 
  • Partner with integrated marking to develop sales opportunities around CBS Sports HQ 
  • Partner with marketing to drive streaming business goals
  • Manage our rights partnerships and implementations across CBS Sports HQ and VOD
  • Develop VOD strategies for CBS Sports HQ content across CBS Sports apps, Paramount Plus, YouTube and social 
  • Develop a deep understanding of network and VOD KPIs in order to provide recurring programming reports that marry data and content to key stakeholders 
  • Manage platform partnerships and promotion, helping drive awareness to CBS Sports HQ and VOD 
  • Lead cross-department weekly sports streaming meetings with key stakeholders such as production, marketing, editorial and sales
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • 7+ years working in media in programming, production, editorial or social capacities at a digital, broadcast or streaming company
  • Deep knowledge of the sports CBS Sports/P+ has rights to (NFL, CFB, CBB, Golf, UFC, WNBA, Soccer)
  • Ability to work occasional nights, weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to work onsite five days per week at our Fort Lauderdale, FL office

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across teams within a media organization
  • Experience leveraging data-driven insights to inform decision-making and influence stakeholders
  • Ability to provide thoughtful, constructive, and actionable feedback to stakeholders
