nonprofit, we create, bid on, and host impactful sports events that drive economic
growth, inspire connection, and enhance community pride. Guided by our core values of

committed to delivering results that benefit both our community and our partners.
Internship Program Details:
  • Internship Duration: September 2026 - December 2026
  • Weekly Commitment: 15 hours per week
  • Timeline: Interviews will begin in mid-August
  • Cohort of 4-5 interns for the duration of the semester
  • Opportunity to work across various events including: Cross Country, Strength

and Fitness Events, Inland Northwest Hall of Fame, Wrestling, Indoor Track and
Field
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Interns will support the delivery of Spokane Sports events. Working within the Event
Management department, interns will play a vital role in ensuring events run smoothly,
partners are well-supported, and participants enjoy a world-class experience. Each
intern will contribute to the overall success of events aligned with Spokane Sports'
mission and standards of excellence.
Event Operations Intern (4-5 Positions):
  • Event Preparation & Teardown: Participate in preparations for events and assist

with post-event teardown.
  • Venue Operations: Handle equipment setup, staging, assembly, and organization

of work areas and tables.
  • Volunteer/Officials Coordination Management: Manage and coordinate

volunteers and officials on-site to ensure smooth operations.
  • Transportation Management: Coordinate transportation logistics for athletes,

staff, and spectators by managing vehicle traffic plans, schedules, and
arrival/departure logistics.
  • Coordinate and support all hospitality and special event logistics by managing

vendor and catering deliveries, organizing hospitality locations and supplies,
overseeing awards operations, and assisting with planning and execution of
ancillary events, socials, and meetings.
Working Conditions/ Physical Requirements
  • Extensive time spent onsite at events.
  • Frequent evening and weekend shifts required during event season.Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and actively participate in event setup

and teardown.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during event days.
  • Reliable transportation to and from event sites.
  • Weekly commitment of 15 hours per week.
  • Work conditions will vary throughout the season through all weather conditions.
