Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Lead Designer - I&C to join our team! In this role you will get to be technical point of contact for project I&C design activities, the InTools SmartPlant (SPI) Administrator, and perform I&C highly-technical and complex design assignments, generally utilizing either 2D or 3D CAD methods.
What You'll Be Doing:
  • InTools SmartPlant (SPI) Administrator.
  • Performs proper instrument database setup and configuration of instrumentation databases for all on-going projects and future projects.
  • Manages SPI database for proper data flow between I&C design deliverables.
  • Configures SPI reporting and document / drawing templates to produce proper I&C document and drawing deliverables.
  • Completes I&C Design Activities for complete systems and components of a project.
  • Assignments involve design elements for which there may be no clearly established precedents and require anticipation of problems at the outset in order to provide appropriate solutions.
  • Performs front-end layout and design of complex systems and equipment applicable to I&C.
  • Performs interdisciplinary reviews and provides coordination of data to ensure a compatible design.
  • Understands and applies commonly used company and industry design standards and methods.
  • May assist in the establishment or revision of guidelines and standards.
  • Collaborates with Engineers and other engineering disciplines to ensure quality of design.
  • Assists in training lower-level Designers in various procedures.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:
  • Associate's degree 2-year technical degree (or equivalent) and 15+ years related experience or bachelor's degree and 13+ years related experience or 17+ years related experience with GED or high school diploma.
  • Demonstrated experience in a Lead I&C Designer role
  • InTools SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI) experience as an Administrator.
  • Proficiency utilizing 2D and 3D modeling and drawing tools.
  • Advanced computer skills, including report development and database management.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in I&C.

Salary Range: $112,200.00 - $196,400.00
