Full Spectrum Search Group is a full-service healthcare recruiting agency specializing in post-acute leadership and healthcare administration. We are seeking an experienced Interim Director of Nursing for a skilled nursing facility in the Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota Markets.

This is an immediate interim leadership opportunity with a well-performing 40-bed skilled nursing facility known for its strong survey history and stable clinical operations. The organization is seeking a hands-on nursing leader who can step in quickly, support the existing team, and maintain the high standards of care already established within the community.

Position Summary

The Interim Director of Nursing will provide overall leadership of the nursing department while ensuring exceptional resident care, regulatory compliance, and staff engagement. This leader will partner with the Administrator and interdisciplinary team to oversee day-to-day clinical operations, maintain survey readiness, and support positive resident outcomes throughout the assignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct all nursing operations and clinical services within the facility

• Supervise, mentor, and support licensed nurses and clinical staff

• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations

• Maintain survey readiness and oversee quality assurance initiatives

• Collaborate with facility leadership to support operational and clinical goals

• Monitor staffing, scheduling, and workforce development

• Foster strong communication with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams

• Provide leadership and stability throughout the interim assignment

Qualifications

• Active RN license required

• Previous Director of Nursing experience in a skilled nursing facility required

• Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and survey process

• Proven leadership and team development experience

• Ability to begin an interim assignment immediately
