TURQUOISE PLACE SECURITY GUARD
Job Description:
Responsible for maintaining the security and the safety of the people on property (guests, owners, team members, vendors) by enforcing the Rules and Regulations concerning the use and enjoyment of Turquoise Place. Responsible for controlling/monitoring property access and egress. Responsible for monitoring alarm systems and composing incident reports, performing proactive foot patrols, directing traffic, and liaise with police/fire/ems.
Job Duties:
  • Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of team members, guests, owners, and vendors in order to maintain security of premises.
  • Maintain reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons or unusual occurrences.
  • Summon EMT, police or fire departments in case of emergency situations.
    Assist with the distribution of late arrival rental packages.
  • Responsible for completion of Security Officer Report each shift and incident reports for owners, team members, guests and vendors.
  • Responsible for monitoring fire alarm system panels and responding to alarm and trouble calls.
  • Responsible for ensuring all office and commercial space doors are secured after business hours.
  • Responsible for checking all common area amenities such as restrooms, sauna, steam rooms, balcony doors, tennis courts, lazy river, fitness room and pool areas for glass, trash or other items not attended to.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all common area amenities are locked and unlocked at the scheduled and posted times; enforce all locked areas and after-hours entry.
  • Responsible for inspection of parking deck vehicles for proper parking permits and checking for proper lighting in the garages.
  • Responsible for returning carts to lobby storage areas when found.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all mechanical, electrical rooms and roof access doors are locked.
  • Responsible for walking all floors during the shift checking for open doors, fire extinguisher pressures, safety hazards, any lights out around the property (to be reported to maintenance).
  • Perform other duties, functions, or tasks as assigned.

Required Skills:
  • Must have basic computer skills that include Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new programs.
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Must be self-motivated to handle guest, owner or team member issues.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts as needed including nights and weekends.
  • CPR/First Aid certification or the ability to become certified, required.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to stand/walk for rounds as well as sit at gate house.
  • Must be able to work in hot, cold, inclement weather as needed.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch.
  • Must be able to lift/move up to 25 lbs. occasionally

Compensation: $15.00 per hour
